Zeed Spices

THE CHALLENGE

The client approached us with a strong logo and a well-designed olive oil line but sought to elevate the packaging for their spices line, which included Zaatar, Freekeh, and Sumac. The existing packaging featured a window to display the product, which was functional but lacked personality and failed to align with the premium quality of Zeed’s offerings.

Additionally, the budget constraints required using a single pouch design, differentiated by labels, to minimize printing costs. The jars presented a similar challenge, needing a redesign to reflect the brand’s identity and stand out while maintaining consistency with the olive oil line. Finally, the brand needed a shipping box that could double as a gift box, enhancing the unboxing experience.

THE SOLUTION

We began by working with a single pouch design, printed in Zeed’s signature green color. The window—essential for showcasing the product—was redesigned using the brand’s symbol, adding uniqueness and visual interest. From this symbol, we created a pattern inspired by Arabic designs, connecting the brand to its cultural roots. This pattern, applied in gold foil, added a premium touch to the packaging.

Each spice was differentiated using labels shaped to echo the logo, with colors that matched the spice visible through the window. For example, the label for Zaatar featured earthy tones, while the Sumac label highlighted its deep red hue.
The same concept was extended to the jars. The window design and Arabic-inspired pattern were incorporated directly onto the glass. This approach maintained consistency across the product line while adding a refined, artisanal feel.
To complete the redesign, we developed a shipping box that served dual purposes: practical for shipping and elegant enough to function as a gift box. The box featured the brand’s green color, the Arabic-inspired pattern in gold foil, and space for a shipping label. These elements ensured the box provided a cohesive and memorable unboxing experience.
